This is a little known area of Redcar, Teesside. A collection of eclectic fisherman's huts that were originally for the steel workers leisure time. These days they are mostly unemployed or retired but Paddy's Hole still retains a feeling of community.
It is tucked away on the south side of the mouth of the Tees estuary, better known as South Gare.
To get there you have to be brave and drive past forbidding notices of the old steelworks along the perimeter fence and beyond.
